My aggressive dog has an oral growth. How to get surgery & meds?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Spitz | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 2 months old | 25 lbs

My dog has a growth over his tooth. It was small but enlarged during one year. He has no pain no other health issues. He is active as normal. Food intake is normal and playing as usual. But the growth makes me upset. We took him to the hospital but doctor couldn't examine the growth since he is very very aggressive in hospital environment. By looking the pictures he suggested cryosurgery and biopsy. I am worried about the care after surgery since he won't take any oral tables.

I agree with your veterinarian to have that removed and tested. Unfortunately the veterinarian will not know how extensive the removal will be until Appu is sedated and the veterinarian can actually examine the area. You may ask that the veterinarian call you during the procedure to update you on the prognosis. You may also ask the veterinarian if there are injectable medications or liquid medications that can be given if you cannot give your pet tablets. It is best to get this taken care of quickly before it grows any larger. Best of luck.
