Is my kitten's loose stool normal after recent vaccinations?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 months and 22 days old

My 14 week old kitten just got his vaccine two days ago and is having loose stool is that normal?

Hi there. Some pets may have some mild GI upset after vaccinations, so this certainly could be normal. If he's acting normal otherwise (eating and drinking fine, no vomiting, etc.),. then it should be okay to just monitor for now. If it doesn't resolve in the next 2-3 days, or if he develops any other symptoms such as vomiting or not wanting to eat, then I would recommend having him checked by your vet to make sure nothing else is wrong.

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Toby. He needs to see a veterinarian today. I recommend taking a fresh fecal sample to your appointment for testing. The skin on his hind end will be assessed as well. Fecal testing will hopefully diagnose the cause of loose stool. Based on these results, treatment can be started. Once he is feeling better, then he needs to be vaccinated. I hope this information helps!
