Why is my old cockatiel quiet, not flying, and staying in cage?

Our cockatiel has changed some behavior. He is 11 years old. Not singing or making his vocal noises, not flying much and not coming out of his cage. We have noticed these changes over the last 3-4 days. Could he be sick? Not sure what to do. Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Male | unneutered

Such changes in behavior can be a sign of illness. I suggest getting him seen by your vet as soon as possible. They will do an exam, possibly some labwork and based on these results, be better able to tell you what is wrong and how best to treat it.
