Why are my neutered cats suddenly fighting aggressively for no reason?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Cornish Rex | Male | neutered | 3 years and 3 months old

Out of the blue, my female neutered cat started quite aggressively trying to get to my male neutered cars bum. This went on sporadically over 5 minutes then resulted in a non violent brawl. They are indoor cats (Cornish Rex), half siblings and have never done anything like this. Should I be concerned?

It’s hard to know why she would act like this. It could be play or bullying behavior. I recommend to watch them closely to see if this behavior will continue. You may consider learning about feline body language so that you can get a better idea if this is aggression. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
