Is my gerbil in pain? She squeaks when touched and won't hide.

Pet's info: Small Animal | Gerbil | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 3 days old | 1lb

Hi. So my Gerbil. I'm worried for her as if I touch her like pet her,she makes squeaking sounds that sound sad and she's not nesting in the hiding hole she has. She seems very open as well as in the entrance I can see her laying like she's hurt. She walks around her cage normally though and seems fine. What could be wrong with her? Is she just super stressed?

Thanks for reaching out about Snickers. It sounds as if she is painful. A veterinary visit is recommended. Check for appetite, water consumption, urination and defecation. Offer water via a syringe of no urine or drinking detected. Good luck.
