Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed
My adopted cat was spayed on 4/3. It’s now 4/22. I’m a little nervous as her incision site has a little lump by it. I adopted her and didn’t know she had gotten spayed so recently so I didn’t ask why type of after care she was getting. She’s acting fine but I’ve never had a cat before so I don’t know what is nervous. The lump doesn’t seem tender to touch and it is not warm. I have an appointment to take her to a vet for a wellness check but I wanted to see if I needed to take her sooner.

The incision looks like it healed beautifully. That lump could be a localized tissue reaction to an internal suture. If the lump isn't bothering Stella, it isn't getting bigger or red, and she is otherwise behaving normally, you can wait until her appointment to have her seen. Best of luck.

This could be a local tissue reaction to the sutures that were placed internally, it could be scar tissue, or it could be something else such as hernia. Without seeing Marie in person, I can't say if this is normal or not, but it is something that should be checked by a vet to be safe. I recommend taking her into one in the next couple of days to have these knots examined and diagnosed so they can be treated if needed. Good luck, I hope this helps!

Sits really common for cats to get subcutaneous suture reactions and that is what this looks like. Should resolve on its own in a week or so. I would not worry at this stage. Just monitor closely and if they get larger or start oozing then take them in for a follow-up.
