My kitten's leg is swollen and limping. Can she still be spayed?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

My kitten is due to get desexed though the day before we believe that she might have broken her leg as it is swollen and she is limping. Will she still be able to be desexed

Hi, it might be an infection as well, for example following play fighting. I am sure they will check her over on the day of her operation and will decide on the best course of action. They might decide she needs a course of antibiotics or anti inflammatories first.
