My dog is lethargic, not eating, and had a scary unresponsive episode.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Wolf Hybrid | Male | unneutered | 9 years and 3 months old

My dog has been lethargic for approximately 24 hrs. At first his stool was soft, and though he wants outside at times, he tries and cannot go. He had an episode last night in which we thought he was dying. Didnt seem to know we were there and didnt respond for approximately 45 mins. Today he has eatten some grass but that is all. He has drank water, but continues to be listless. Could he have an obstruction?

It could be Buddha has an obstruction but he could have a problem with his prostate, a systemic illness, infection, or injury causing his problems. He needs to see a vet now, please take him into one immediately. Best of luck.
