My dog's eye sore keeps reopening and oozing pus. What's wrong?

Hi, My dog has had a sore under his eye which started off as a lump. I have brought him to the vet and got persribed antibiotics and it healed it however the cut opened up again and theres pus and watery liquid oozing from it. I am going to go to the vet again but before I do, would anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks, Rose. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male

I believe this is likely a tooth root abscess which could explain why it got better initially and now he worsen again as the main issue such as what is causing the abscess needs to be addressed as well. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Best of luck!
