My pitbull has red testicles but acts normal. Is this serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 65 lbs

My white pitbull has extremely red testicles, he acts normal, doesn’t lick or seem to be bothered by it but I just feel this isn’t normal. Any idea as to what could be wrong?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be due to a severe infection for example. This warrants a veterinary evaluation as soon as possible as this is likely causing him severe discomfort. They would be able to check this more closely and recommend therapy accordingly. Best of luck!
