My dog ate granola and paper. Is it toxic or will it cause issues?

Pet's info: Dog | Shihpoo | Male | neutered | 11 years old | 18 lbs

My 11 yrs old Shitzu/Poodle ate a complete box of Granola including the paper (not the cardboard box) about 5 hrs ago

As long as the granola didn't contain chocolate, macadamia nuts or raisins I wouldn't be concerned about toxicity. This could cause some upset stomach however, and since granola can be high in fat you could see pancreatitis develop. I would guess that cardboard would be digested, but if there was any plastic then there could be concern for an obstruction as well. I would recommend monitoring Bear for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea and contacting your vet right away if you see any of these signs.
