My dog won't eat; vet won't give appetite stimulant. Second opinion?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 9 lbs

Low dose keppra given to increase appetite has stopped working & made smudge not want to come in as he doesn’t like being given it,seems to have increased anxiety more & despite asking for an appetite stimulant as recommend on Petco Pet Education Center my practice doesn’t seem to want to give any,can u tell me why this may be? I want what’s best for smudge should I move practices & try another vet? 3rd day of not eating agen! Really frustrating for him & me,epilepsy under control with phenobarbitone 30mg

I'm sorry you are having such problems with Smudge. The vet may not want to give him an appetite stimulant because it could interact with any other medications he is on currently, or it may not be appropriate for him. It sounds like you are having a really tough time, so I would take him into another vet for a second opinion. Best of luck.
