Hi so I just wanted to make myself sure on something. So about an hour ago my dog chased and caught a mouse but didnt eat it just had it in his mouth for just a couple seconds. He drank some water and now after an hour he seems fine.Since he didnt eat it should I be worried.I think it might have been a house that I had in my house I dont use any poison on them maybe a pest spray around the house.Again since he only had it in his mouth for seconds should I worry? What can i watch for if anything?

Since Rocky did not ingest the mouse, he should be perfectly fine. However, there is a slight chance that he may have acquired tapeworms if the mouse in question is infected with them. Consider asking his vet to prescribe a praziquantel containing deworming medication or take a stool sample for a fecal flotation in a few weeks. I would not anticipate any other issues arising from this incident, so try not to worry! :-)
