Why does my mother cat have a bump on her stomach that won't go away?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | unspayed

So i noticed a week ago that my 4 and a half years old cat mino (who is also currently a mother) has a bump on the lower right side of her stomach. I thought first it might be nothing. It feels like it is on the inside and she is definitely not irritated by it and only if i try to feel it that she gestures that she doesnt want me to touch her there. Now that the bump wont go away i am now concerned about her well being and am just wondering what might be the reason for that bump??

This bump on Mino could be a mammary tumor. Those can be common in intact female cats. It could also be that she may have mastitis from nursing. This needs to be checked out by a vet, and I would take her into one today. Best of luck.
