Cat has hair in eye, squinting. What can I do safely at home?

My girl has a cat hair in her eye after i combed her. She's squinting. What can I safety do at home. Going to vet is not an option for me- us i don't have the funds or a car....so can you please help. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 years and 1 month old | 15 lbs

Hello, and thanks for your question. You can try using an eye rinse and gently flush the hair out of her eye. If this doesn’t work or if she continues to squint, she really does need to be seen by a vet as there’s no safe home care remedy for an eye injury or infection. All the best to you and Missa.
