Why did my hamster die suddenly after showing strange, sick signs?

I got a hamster 4 days ago and she seemed fine until last night when I noticed she wasn't running on her wheel. She stayed in her hut all day and then this afternoon she came out hunched up, shaking and unresponsive. She then began running in circles and scratching at her cage, started shaking twitching fell over on her back a few times and then fell over dead. I am trying to figure out what happened before I get another hamster because as far as I can tell I did everything right. Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Female

Hi, it is difficult to tell what could have happened. Was she eating and passing feaces fine ? Did she eat anything unusual ? Hamsters can be quite delicate and in absence of obvious signs it can be tricky to find a cause for sudden death. Sorry she passed away so suddenly and soon, I hope your next friend will have many happy days ahead. Hope this helps.
