Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 35 lbs
Hi my cat leaves these pellets on my bed that look like little grains of rice. What could this possibly be? I checked her for fleas but she doesn't have any, and shes indoors most of the time, we do let her out but shes on a leash.

It sounds like Sasha has tapeworms. She will need a medication call Drontal to kill them, which you get from the vet. Tapeworms are transmitted by fleas, so you will need to treat her for fleas as well. Fleas live in the environment, not on the cat, so she could have fleas even if you don't see any. They jump on to feed, and then jump off. I can give you a flea treatment for her. First, I would give her Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas within 30 minutes. Then follow up with a spot on treatment, such as Advantage or Revolution. This is a treatment that has to be used once a month. You will also have to disinfect the environment. Wash her bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. I hope this helps!
