My green anole is coughing blood and breathing heavily. Is he okay?

my green anole, stubby seems to be coughing up blood. he’s breathing really heavily and i just got him probably 2 weeks ago and he was just fine. please help me. he’s amazing and i love him so much

The symptoms described are cause for concern. Ideally, Stubby should be physically examined by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. It is possible he has a respiratory infection, injury or parasites. Clean and sanitize his enclosure, bowls, perches, etc. Discard anything that cannot be sanitized. Maintain proper environmental parameters (especially temp and humidity) and keep him as stress free as possible.
