My pregnant cow has diarrhea. What are safe treatment options?

6 months pregnant cow suffering through diarrhoea, please suggest pregnancy Safe treatment.

Hello. What you need to find out is if the diarrhea is due to new grass, a virus ( BVD ) or parasites. Because she is pregnant, you do want her as healthy as possible to maintain her pregnancy. If she has never been vaccinated, your vet can determine what the best product to use in your herd ( & this also depends on if your here is dairy or beef ). Pfizer's Bovi-Shield is safe to use pregnant cows if they were vaccinated last year. Your vet is the best resource to determine if she needs worming or other treatment that will not impact her pregnancy. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
