What to do for an injured baby rabbit with cat bite and leg issues?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 0.01 lbs

We found an injured baby rabbit, not sure how old but believe her to be weaned since she was away from the nest. She has limited movement in her back legs and teeth marks on her shoulder from what looks like a cat. She’s obviously scared. How can I care for her so she can heal? I’ve never cared for a bunny before.

It sounds as if this bunny has a very serious injury and is in critical condition. I would recommend taking it to a veterinarian as soon as possible so it can get appropriate treatment. This does not sound like an injury you can treat at home. Even if you are not able to afford its care I’m sure any vet’s office would be willing to see if they can help it if you are willing to relinquish it. I hope this helps.
