My dog ate my turmeric supplement with black pepper. Will he be okay?

My dog swallowed one of my turmeric capsules 1,000 mg Turmeric 10 mg black pepper extract

Hello, and thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. There is limited data on turmeric doses in dogs, but it is generally pretty well tolerated. Some dogs are more sensitive to it than others, and can get mild GI upset. However, most likely your dog will be just fine. Let your vet know if you see any vomiting, diarrhea, or decreased appetite.     No need to worry about this. Tumeric is a rather safe spice that is tolerated well in high quantities. It's possible that this will cause an upset stomach leading to vomiting or diarrhea, but I wouldn't expect any other complications beyond that. As a side note: tumeric is not very effective for arthritis, but probably won't hurt to give as a supplement.
