My dog has brownish discharge during heat. Is it normal? What to do?

Brownish blood discharge coming out during heat cycle. What can i do???

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Angel. The color and amount of discharge can vary throughout a dog's heat cycle. It can vary from pink to red to brown. Creamy discharge that appears like pus would be worrisome as it can represent a uterine infection. In this case, she would need to see her veterinarian right away. I hope this information helps!

    Yes, this can be normal discharge for a dog in heat. The vaginal discharge usually lasts about 10 days. If it has been longer than that or if she is acting sick, then she definitely needs to see a veterinarian for an examination.
