Why is my kitten sick with fever, blocked nose, and not eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 15 days old

I think my kitten is ill. He is not his usual self, he won't eat or drink and has been sleeping more often since today. His eyes look irritated, he has a fever hot and cold, also he has a blocked nose with difficulty breathing.

Poor Senu! I agree, it sounds like he's sick. Upper respiratory infections are common in kittens, and often cause nasal congestion, eye irritation and drainage, and a fever. I would recommend taking Senu to the vet for an exam, since it sounds like he will likely need an antibiotic to treat the infection.
