Pet's info: Dog | Harrier | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 41 lbs
My dog has been having intervals of fast beating, blotchy skin rash, extreme fatigue after being out in the garden sometimes. She has been seen by a vet and was scanned to check stomach, heart with no concerns. She was give an antihistamine to good effect. We have been giving her 5mg of cetirizine which appears to quickly settle symptoms. It doesn’t happen every time she is out and first happened in nov 18. I have included some pictures of swelling that appears on her stomach and ear area

Hello. If the Cetirizine seems to be helping, then continue as needed. This is very much an allergic reaction & you might want to consider switching her diet to one that addresses sensitive skin & stomach issues ( Science Diet makes one ). I would also start a good fish oil supplement as high levels of omega 3 fatty acids can decrease the body's sensitivity to allergens. I really like these products: Nordic Naturals & Bayer's Snip Tips. They are available in some of the better pet retailers & on line. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
