My cat's paw wound still bleeding after 2 weeks, should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed

My cat has a wound on her back paw. The vet said it is granulated tissue that is still healing which is good. But it still has not stop bleeding. It's been going on for 2 weeks. Should I be concerned even though the vet said it is healing?

Yes the wound looks quite healthy and this is likely to be granulated tissue. Unfortunately this is a pressure point so the healing is definitively slower. Antibiotics are needed to prevent any infection.
