My rescue dog still has worms after deworming. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 18 lbs

Got my dog at the pound on March 27th the paperwork shows he was wormed. I still see worms in his poop and on his butt . Can I give him more wormer or what should I do

It is important to remember that not every parasite is treated with the same medication. Since you are still seeing worms in Fez's stool, I recommend taking a stool sample to his vet so that it can be microscopically evaluated with a fecal flotation test. Based on these results, your vet will be able to prescribe the most effective dewormer for the parasite(s) present.
