Why does my dog hide food, pace, and whine? Is it normal behavior?

Mia started to do this thing where she will try to hide her food and when she can’t find a place she will pace a lot with the food in her mouth while whining a lot. I know dogs hide food because it’s in their nature but should I worry about this behavior? Suggestions to try to help her to, I guess, “find a place” to hide her stuff? There’s plenty of places too. If Mia is eating enough and growing normally I would not worry too much about this behavior. If however you feel like she is becoming undernourished because of this then I would be concerned. Try strictly meal feeding her. Put her food down for 10-15 minutes and if she doesn’t eat it pick it up right away. Then do not allow her to ha e any food until her next meal. This will encourage her to eat her food when it is available rather than play with it.
