My dog is still lethargic after whipworm treatment. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | 1 year and 4 months old | 16 lbs

My dog was dignost with whip worms almost a week ago she is still acting gloomy dosent have any energy I gave her the medicine last Monday 1 dose is all she had to take are these still the side effects from the whipworm?? And how lo g will it take for to be herself again????

For most dogs, symptoms of whipworm would be diarrhea possibly with blood in it, but I wouldn't expect lethargy unless she has so many whipworms that she's anemia. I would recommend letting your vet know this is going on -- they may want her to come back in for evaluation. I'm concerned something else could be going on totally unrelated to the whipworms.
