My gerbil is hurt, not moving, and breathing fast. What should I do?

Hello, i believe a child has been too rough with my gerbil. He will not move anything but his head and front feet and will not open his eyes. His breaths are short and quick. He is 2yo and has never had health issues. I dont know what to do as no vet in my area will be open until monday. Pet's info: Other | Other Pet - Not Listed | Male | 0 lbs
