Mia's going to the vet today. Should she fast before taking a blood test?

There are a few tests that require testing but most do not. A basic panel of bloodwork just as a routine screening does not typically require fasting. If she needed to be fasted your vet probably would have let you know. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

This depends on what they blood work is trying to investigate. For biochemistry tests, especially liver and kidney tests then fasting for 12hours is often recommended, tests for infection are less affected by a recent meal. Contact your vets office to confirm
