Pet's info: Cat | Russian White | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 11 days old | 2.3 lbs
I took my kitten to the vet about 3 days ago, he was born the beginning of February, i gave the vet a sample of his poop and was told that he has Giardia Antigen. The vet said that it is not contagious but every where i look online it says it is contagious to other animals. Im worried about my other cat. The kitten has very watery poop and poops all over, most likely not in the litterbox. He has pooped on the floor, bed, and people. All i am wondering though is if it is contagious to other cats?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Michael. Yes, I consider giardia a contagious disease between pets. When I diagnose a pet with giardia, then I typically recommend treating all of the other pets in the household. I hope this information helps!
