Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 years and 3 months old | 13 lbs
My cat comes from my colony of feral cats at a junk yard. She was the runt and dragged out to die as kitten. I brought her home 10 years ago. 4 of the feral cats have died because they had something wrong with their mouths. Now my girl is lowering her jaw rapidly and not quite closing her mouth then opens her mouth wide like she stretching her mouth. I've got a feral that has lost all of his teeth and make the same "stuttering" with his jaw. He is dying. Your thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear that Lucy has been feeling so poorly. Teeth chattering is commonly associated with oral pain in pets. Without examining her and performing dental x-rays, I can't conclude the precise cause of her pain. At this point, the best course of action is to take Lucy to her vet for an exam. She will likely also require a sedated oral examination with dental x-rays to get to the bottom of this situation so that proper treatment can be started. I hope that she feels better soon!
