I just took n a ferret he's been locked in his cage its whole life he's so skinny and the way he walks makes me nervous do you think it's because he's been locked up in his cage and he doesn't really use his muscles his back Paws seem to like they hurt or uncomfortable for him to walk there's no vets around me start taking a new patients for ferrets right now

It is hard to say what exactly is going on with Taco. If he has been confined with poor husbandry most of his life he may have some decreased muscle mass and generalized weakness. You can try bathing him with a gentle shampoo made for ferrets or cats. The best thing you can do is have Taco checked out by a veterinarian as soon as possible and make sure you are feeding him a well balanced diet.
