Why is my cat struggling to stand and move her back legs, and shaking?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years old | 5.8 lbs

My cat has been experiencing tremor type shakes in her back legs for a long time, since she was a kitten. It was mostly when she would lay still or just be kneading something soft. Today j can home and she was not acting right, she acts like it hurts to stand or move her back legs. Shes still eating a little bit here and there, and she does stand up occasionally but she seems to just want to lay down most often. What could this be?

There could be a problem with Charlene's back or hips. It's very concerning that it appears it hurts her to stand. Rest her tonight, and have her seen by a vet in the morning if she is still acting this way.
