Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 years old | 8 lbs
I rescued Sophie (11yr) from a parking lot in Dec 2017. Saoirse (10yr) is a Diabetic I rescued from euthanasia in Feb. I did slow introductions for the two of them but they are still fighting. Both live in a small studio space. They have 2 different cat trees, a dedicated cat closet, 2 litter boxes, a window perch, and I use Feliway Multi-Cat. Saoirse chases and attacks Sophie, I think for territory? Sophie has never been welcoming, growing and hissing at her. What do I do now?

If you rescued Saoirse just a few months ago there is still hope that they will learn to at least tolerate each other. It can take cats several months to get used to a new being in the house. You could add an extra litter box if you have space - the recommendation is to have one more litter box than the number of cats in the house. If you are still having trouble in 3 months or so I’d recommend reaching out to your vet to see if there is a cat behaviorist in your area.
