What kind of pain do NSAIDs treat well? The vet hasn't been able to diagnose my cat's pain (she suddenly has trouble walking and is reluctant to move, won't even go to eat unless I put the food in front of her) so he gave her a small NSAID prescription. It worked wonders and got her moving and playing until it wore off. But I'm worried she might have a sprain or break. Is that possible, or is it likely caused by something else?

NSAIDs treat many types of pain but they are best for orthopedic and inflammatory diseases. Ibuprofen is an example of an NSAID for people. It seems unlikely that Gee would have a broken bone if her limp went away completely although a sprain might be possible. Ask your vet about x-rays now that the limp has returned.
