My cat still scoots her butt on the carpet after deworming. Why?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years old | 8 lbs

My cat is scooting her booty on my carpet. She has been dewormed so I don’t know why.

Depending on what was used to deworm Vickie it's still possible that she could have parasites like tapeworms. Vickie might also have an anal gland issue or allergies. If this continues I'd recommend having your vet examine Vickie.

    Hi there and thank you for your post! Some causes of her scooting her bottom across the floor could be allergies, irritation, full anal glands or intestinal parasites. I would take Bijou in to your veterinarian and have the anal glands checked to see if they need to be expressed. At this time, I would also advise that you bring a stool sample in with you so your veterinarian can rule out intestinal parasites as a cause.
