Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 5 months and 10 days old | 5 lbs
Hello! I have a 5 month old kitten who I adopted a month ago. He has become less cuddly and affectionate. He used to wake me up by purring loudly, now he will claw at my hands. He bits toes and fingers when we play, and I don’t know the best way to stop it. When he does, i get a toy for him to play with instead, but he prefers to scratch and bite now. I play with him at least an hour a day and recently got him a harness so we can go outside because I don’t want him to get bored. What can I do?

I suggest you use some Feliway diffusers in the house and also do some environmental enrichment. Feliway really works wonders at reducing stress and calming cats. ( https://www.feliway.com/us ) ( https://www.allivet.com/p-1865-feliway-diffuser-plug-in-starter-kit-for-cats.aspx ) Environmental Enrichment resources: ( catbehaviorassociates.com/what-is-environmental-enrichment-and-why-does-your-cat-need-it/ ) ( youtube.com/results?search_query=environmental+enrichment+cat ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.
