Does my shaggy terrier mix need hair trimmed for eye health?

I have a 9-lb terrier mix. I like her to look shaggy instead of trimmed. I know her nails need to be trimmed but is there any health benefit to trimming her hair - for instance, keeping her face trimmed to keep her hair from getting in her eyes? Pet's info: Dog | Cairn Terrier | Female | spayed | 4 years and 3 months old | 9 lbs

Only if she has issues with her eyes watering or the hair around the eyes becomes matted. That is the only time I would trim that hair. Otherwise, I would just leave her be. She is super adorable and I agree with you, I like the scruffy look!
