My pitbull has a recurrent stomach rash. What could be causing it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 100 lbs

My pitbull has a really bad rash on her stomach and it keeps going away and coming back and we can’t seem to get rid of it. She scratches a ton and we aren’t sure what’s causing it. She is gluten free and we make sure she eats well and we haven’t used anything different that she touches. Please helps.

Oh that rash on Mia does look bad. It's time to see a vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing the rash such as allergies, fleas, or mites, and can treat her. I'd take her into a vet in the morning. Tonight, trying giving her an oatmeal bath to see if that helps temporarily soothe her skin. Best of luck.
