My dog's seizures won't stop and he's vomiting. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered

My dog has seizures and has been on medicine every day for them for roughly 1 1/2- 2 yrs. He started seizing approx 20 min ago and hasn't stopped.. He has also gotten sick 3 times.. What do I do?? Please help

Tank needs to get to an emergency vet ASAP. This is a serious emergency. If the seizure activity doesn't get stopped soon he may likely die. Please get him to a vet right away. You cannot treat this at home.

    Poor Jake! I'm sorry to hear that he's having this problem. If he's been having seizures all day and the medication you have from your veterinarian has not stopped them, this is very concerning. I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic immediately, since he will likely need to be hospitalized and have IV anti-convulsant medications overnight to get the seizures under control. Dogs can die or have permanent brain damage from having this many seizures in a 24 hour period, so it's very important to have him seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
