Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Female | unspayed | 13 lbs

I have a miniature schnauzer who I’ve had for 11 years. Lately she’s been trying to use the bathroom When she goes outside but I see her struggling . She normally walks in and goes to her bed . I haven’t paid too much attention at her butt area but today I looked at why she’s struggles to poop. I saw a large lump Under anus . As I lifted her tail I saw it was under her Anus like a rock hard ball. I thought maybe it was hard stool so I attempted to clean with warm water but she didn’t let me

I would be concerned that this lump could be a malignant tumor, and it's clearly bothering Chloe if she won't let you touch it. I would take her into a vet now to get this checked out. Best of luck.
