My dog bit someone. Will they be put down or face other consequences?

What happens when your dog bites someone? Do they get euthanized?

It depends. If this is the first time a dog bite someone, depending on the extent of the injury, the dog may be deemed a dangerous dog and have to wear a muzzle in pubic. If this dog has bitten people multiple times, then yes euthanasia is recommended. It also depends on if the dog is up to date on their rabies vaccine as well. If the dog isn't, the dog may be euthanized and sent for rabies testing, or quarantined. Your local laws will determine the outcome.
