My dog suddenly can't use his hind legs and won't eat. What's wrong?

Hi, I have a Pekingese dog. He's about 8 years old. The last 3 days he had los of appetite, and when I woke up this morning he was totally lame in both his hind legs. What can be the cause?

Charlie needs to see the veterinarian today. Losing the usage of the hind legs is serious and can indicate many conditions like compression of the spinal cord, cancer or a blood clot. This can effect the ability to voluntarily urinate long term and needs to be addressed asap otherwise there can be permenant damage. The damage can occur in as little as 24 hours.
