Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered

10 month old puppy adopted on a whim. Takes good care of it. Person has puppy for 2ish weeks then goes to jail for 30 days. Puppy spends 15 days with one friend and the other with a second friend. After 30 days, original owner gets puppy back. What are the repercussions of that type of instability on the puppy?

Dogs are very adaptable but it’s hard to keep adjusting to a new person and a new house. Dogs like stability. They want to bond with their human. They like a routine and changing households will disrupt all of that and begin the process over again. It is best to place the puppy in a forever home where he will stay but a few changes and bumps along the way are generally OK. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
