Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | 2 years and 1 month old | 60 lbs
Hey, my dog got ran over on the highway 3 weeks ago and got cut behind the ear. It was a pretty deep gash about 1 inch long. We had a local doctor suture the wound and took them out after skin closed up. But he has got a hard lump in the spot he got cut and seems to be getting smaller very slow or not at all. He seems to be fine and it doesn't bother him at all. Just wondering if you can help me know what to do about it. Thanks

I’m glad Sako is ok after that incident! Swelling after sutures can be related to a suture reaction, infection or a piece of foreign material stuck under the skin. I recommend to play it safe and have him examined again so the doctor can palpate the area. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
