My cat was spayed while pregnant. Why are her breasts growing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 months and 7 days old | 7 lbs

My cat was spayed about a month ago, I don’t know if that has any connection with what’s going on. When she was spayed she was also pregnant. The problem is I’ve noticed her breast’s getting larger, but they don’t seem to cause her pain. Should I be concerned? She is young and active and healthy.

I'd get Willow checked out to be safe. Without seeing her in person, I can't say if this is normal or not. Given that she is otherwise normal, it's not an emergency, but I would have her seen by a vet this week. Best of luck.
