Updated On September 23rd, 2025

So my crested gecko was attacked by my cat the other day she ripped through the netting on the top of his cage and got a hold of him right now he is still alive but he's not as active. He started to shed but then stopped and hasn't finished for a couple of days, how should I help him?

You need to take him to your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. A cat bite can lead to serious infection which should be treated. Pain medication may also be indicated. There isn't much you can do at home except to maintain hydration and proper environmental parameters. Veterinary care is strongly recommended.
