Puppy dewormed, has diarrhea & worms. How long to recover & protect other dog?

I just got a t cup mixed Chihuahua he is believed to be 6weeks or older. He hasn’t had any treatment. Today I have him a 6 way shot and also gave him liquid dewormer in some food. He has pooped out 2 worms so far and has diarrhea. How long will it take for him to get over the diarrhea and the worms. I also have a older dog almost 2 who do I keep her from possibly getting the worms?! Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 16 days old | 2 lbs

You will need to give Peanut another dose of the deworming treatment in two weeks to kill all the worms. The diarrhea should pass in a few days. To prevent your older dog from getting worms, you need to deworm her as well.
