My female cat 3 years old is losing all of her fur. She is a hybrid Selkirk rex and is related to the Deven Rex Family. Could it be in her genes?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Yes, some Selkirk Rex cats can be genetically predisposed to losing hair. If there are no areas of irritation, redness, swelling, and if she is not bothered by the hair loss, it is likely that this is a genetic predisposition for alopecia. If you have concerns, you can always have a veterinarian take a look at her and perform so simple tests to rule out a skin infection or skin parasites. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
